JYJ member cum actor Park Yoochun successfully held a grand fan meeting in Shanghai, China.
According to C-JeS Entertainment, Park Yoochun arrived in Shanghai on the 24th for his Asia Fan Meeting Tour. He held his solo fan meeting at Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Centre on the 25th and spent an enjoyable two hours with the local fans who participated in the ’2012 Park Yoochun Asia Fan Meeting Tour – Shanghai”. Those fans who did not managed to get the tickets gathered around the event venue and cheered out Park Yoochun’s name.
That day, Park Yoochun began the fan meeting with the OST ‘This Empty Space Is For You’ from MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley’, followed by a chat on his recent status. After which, he re-enacted the classic scenes and lines from his dramas, called fans who were present at the event and gave a quiz and played balloons bursting games etc. It was different from previous fan meeting, spending a very special time with his fans.
Park Yoochun expressed his thoughts, “Even though I have not visit Shanghai for a long while, the fans’ passionate welcome astonished me.”, “It seems that I received a lot through working hard with my activities. I am really thankful for the friends who came to day and I will work even harder next time in order to repay everyone.”
Park Yoochun’s popularity in China was acknowledged many times. The established site in China, Baidu, had over 100 thousands members of Park Yoochun’s fans registered. There were a 5000 fans’ petition held before. On his arrival on the 24th, due to the gathering of over 1500 fans, Shanghai’s Pudong airport was jam packed.
His representative explained Park Yoochun’s popularity, “Even before the local airing of ‘Rooftop Prince’, it had already received a high attention. His popularity gained when ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ started.”, “Though it was predicted that fans would like(the drama/him), it was never expected to be of such passionate level. The beginning was good and it will lead on to the success of the Asia Fan Meeting Tour.”
Park Yoochun is slated to tour Shenzhen(China), Taiwan and Thailand for his fan meeting.
